GBJ's Health & Safety, Equal Opportunity Policy
www.gbj-eng.com
Our people are essential to the success of our business. We know that it's important for all employees to be able to strike a balance between work and life outside work. We encourage all our employees to achieve the right balance, because this will strengthen our business too, increase productivity and make our people happier.

On an informal basis we encourage good management practice - treating our staff with sensitivity and understanding. We adopt a give and take approach, encouraging employees to put the extra effort in when required, balanced with the opportunity to take time off when times are quieter.

GBJ's Harassment Policy
GBJ fully supports the rights of everyone to be treated with dignity and respect. Subjecting someone to harassment or bullying is a form of discrimination. Not only is it unacceptable but unlawful.
We understand that such actions can affect people's health, work performance, promotion and job prospects and it's part of our policy to make every effort to provide a working environment that is free of harassment and intimidation.
Our policy covers harassment on the ground of gender, race and disability. It also addresses bullying.
GBJ's Equal Opportunity Policy
Our equal opportunity policy makes sure everyone gets the same treatment. Individuals will be selected, promoted and treated on the basis of their abilities and according to the requirements of their job. Everyone will be given equal opportunity to progress within the organisation based on these criteria.
Our equal opportunity policy applies to everyone within GBJ and we expect all agencies and contractors who work with, and for us, to comply with this policy.
GBJ's Health, Safety and Environment issue
Our priority is to ensure that all activities within GBJ are conducted safely. The health of our employees, customers and the public are protected at all times. We aim to:
incorporate health, safety and environmental factors into all business decisions
manage our business in such a way that we save energy; reduce waste; prevent pollution; and avoid damage to the environment
provide the necessary training so our employees can work with due consideration for the environment and for the health and safety of themselves and others
always comply with legislation and wherever possible to a higher standard than required
constantly improve our health, safety and environmental performance; monitor our performance and report on it in an open, balanced and factual manner
We ask all management, employees, contractors and partners to demonstrate the same level of commitment to health, safety and environment.
